A whole bunch of cards - I've been busy this week!

Happy Saturday!  Today I have 5 cards to share with you.

The first card was made for Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge:



I started with a base of retired SU! Tranquil Tide card stock and die cut flowers from (I think) the Magnolia die set.  I put a layer from Tranquilly Eclectic DSP behind and popped up the flowers with Dimentionals.  I used Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sky for the border and the sentiment is from retired Best Thoughts set stamped in Tranquil Tide.



I am in lurve with this second card.  The base is Night of Navy.   The flower si from one of my all-time favorite sets, SU! Best Thoughts, and was stamped with Versamark on Bristol watercolor paper and embossed in black.  I used Stampin' Blends to color the flower.  I cut the frame with the SU! square dies in Whisper White.  I was going to leave it white, but decided it needed a pop of color, so I colored with with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and 'framed' the hydrangea.  The sentiment is from my stash.


I am entering this card into the Just Us Girls and the Flower Challenge:




The last card is for the Dad's in my life.  I used some oldie but goodie products: SU retired DSP paper, Wonderful Life stamp set and Geared Up Garage for the sentiment.  The background is Gorgeous Grunge in Versamark.



This one is entered into the CAS challenge.


This little beauty is for Global Design Project.  I again used SU! Best Thoughts and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I don't have this year's new in-colors (yet), so I used Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Foam with a light layer of Grey Granite to imitate the designated colors.  The twine is from the 2020 Sale-a-Bration.  The die is from Amazon :) and it is mounted on Soft Sea Foam card stock and popped up with Dimentionals.


Last one...



Another Best Thoughts card, but this one is a single layer.  I'm entering it into the AAA CAS Challenge.

Beautiful cards! Great job on all. The Hydrangea and Butterfly combinations are beautiful. As for the card you created for the CC&S color challenge....it is perfect for all the dads out there. What a great combination of patterns, love the back end of the car. Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at CC&S

School is back in session, virtally, of course and I want to go to the beach.  So.... Two challenge cards to post today. The first card is for CAS on Friday (Nature) (which I missed the linkup to), The Card Concept , Just Add Ink , Time Out Challenge and Sunday Stamps (which I ALSO missed the linkup to, grrrrr). I did this card twice, well actually 3 times, but twice that I liked :).  The card on the right was first.  I stamped Hero Arts Layering Waves on Stratmore Bristol watercolor paper with Stampin' Up ink: Seashore Spray, Misty Moonlight and Sahara Sand.  Then I brushed the sky with Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Fresh Fig and Pale Plum.  I stamped the sentiments in Versamark and embossed with Hero Arts Sand embossing powder.  The sailboat is from OLLLDDD retired SU Toy Box stamped in Versamark Obsidian Black and colored with Whisper White craft ink.  Last, I made foam with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell.  I thought the sunset purple was a lot overdone, so I decided to try

Spring Flowers in August

Another week has flown by and August has come in with its normal heatwave.  I keep wishing for rain as the clouds part on their way through town.  Sigh, I'll go get the hose.... Today I have 2 cards to share with you. The first card starts with a base of Stampin' Up Terracotta Tile.  I love the mellow hue that it sets for the daffodils, and it reminded me of an unusual color combination that I have seen in a newer variety of the flower.  Just to clear the air... daffodils bloom in February in north Texas and are one of our first signs of spring.  So it isn't really a summer flower here, though I know other areas of the country/world it would bloom much later and might be considered an early summer flower.   I used a retired SU mask with SU Sparkle embossing paste mixed with a little terracotta ink to create the trellis pattern.  While that was drying I stamped the flowers with Altenew Paint-a-Flower Daffodils set in Versamark black and clear embossing powder.  I water color

3 cards in 3 hours

Tonight was craft Zoom night, so I have 3 more cards for challenges completed.  I am really loving the time together when we can't be together! The first card is for Global Design Project and the Papercraft Card Challenge.   I started with Stampin' Up Whisper White card stock with Concord & 9th Feathered stamp set in SU Dapper Denim (because I don't have Misty Moonlight yet), Pool Party and Petal Pink.  I masked the floral feather and stamped the upright one.  The washi tape is retired SU and the sentiment is from  set and is cut with an SU die, not sure what set it came from.  This is layered on a Petal Pink card stock base.
