A whole bunch of cards - I've been busy this week!

Happy Saturday!  Today I have 5 cards to share with you.

The first card was made for Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge:



I started with a base of retired SU! Tranquil Tide card stock and die cut flowers from (I think) the Magnolia die set.  I put a layer from Tranquilly Eclectic DSP behind and popped up the flowers with Dimentionals.  I used Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Sky for the border and the sentiment is from retired Best Thoughts set stamped in Tranquil Tide.



I am in lurve with this second card.  The base is Night of Navy.   The flower si from one of my all-time favorite sets, SU! Best Thoughts, and was stamped with Versamark on Bristol watercolor paper and embossed in black.  I used Stampin' Blends to color the flower.  I cut the frame with the SU! square dies in Whisper White.  I was going to leave it white, but decided it needed a pop of color, so I colored with with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends and 'framed' the hydrangea.  The sentiment is from my stash.


I am entering this card into the Just Us Girls and the Flower Challenge:




The last card is for the Dad's in my life.  I used some oldie but goodie products: SU retired DSP paper, Wonderful Life stamp set and Geared Up Garage for the sentiment.  The background is Gorgeous Grunge in Versamark.



This one is entered into the CAS challenge.


This little beauty is for Global Design Project.  I again used SU! Best Thoughts and colored with Stampin' Blends.  I don't have this year's new in-colors (yet), so I used Daffodil Delight, Lovely Lipstick and Soft Sea Foam with a light layer of Grey Granite to imitate the designated colors.  The twine is from the 2020 Sale-a-Bration.  The die is from Amazon :) and it is mounted on Soft Sea Foam card stock and popped up with Dimentionals.

Another Best Thoughts card, but this one is a single layer.  I'm entering it into the AAA CAS Challenge.

Beautiful cards! Great job on all. The Hydrangea and Butterfly combinations are beautiful. As for the card you created for the CC&S color challenge....it is perfect for all the dads out there. First Christmas card of the year

Oh yes, a Christmas card in April.  But I just couldn't help it.  See there is a lovely challenge from Merry Monday Christmas Challenge to build a snowman and then Mojo Monday had some lovely circles to play with and look what happened!!!  Frozen is so HOT right now that I just had to do it!   I don't do such intricate punching very often.  In fact this is the 2nd face I did because the first one looked maniacal.  This one the glue dried too quickly and messed up the paper before the eyes were placed correctly.  Sigh... I'll be playing with this one again to see if I can expidite the process and get a better result.  The arms and hair are hand cut, the eyes, nose and charcoal were punched with the mini circle punch and trimmed.  The colors are not your ordinary combo for Christmas, but I just love Baha Breeze (I miss it so!) and Island Indigo and Raspberry Ripple look great with it.  I used a bit of retired Sale-a-Bration In...

Gettin' Beachy

School is back in session, virtally, of course and I want to go to the beach.  So.... Two challenge cards to post today. The first card is for CAS on Friday (Nature) (which I missed the linkup to), The Card Concept , Just Add Ink , Time Out Challenge and Sunday Stamps (which I ALSO missed the linkup to, grrrrr). I did this card twice, well actually 3 times, but twice that I liked :).  The card on the right was first.  I stamped Hero Arts Layering Waves on Stratmore Bristol watercolor paper with Stampin' Up ink: Seashore Spray, Misty Moonlight and Sahara Sand.  Then I brushed the sky with Soft Sky, Baja Breeze, Fresh Fig and Pale Plum.  I stamped the sentiments in Versamark and embossed with Hero Arts Sand embossing powder.  The sailboat is from OLLLDDD retired SU Toy Box stamped in Versamark Obsidian Black and colored with Whisper White craft ink.  Last, I made foam with Nuvo Crystal Drops in Ivory Seashell.  I thought the sunset purple was a...

Fall is in the air

September is here and Texas has cooled to fall temperatures in a hurry.  55 yesterday!  Time to play outside until it heats up again, as it always does. The first card uses some new fall items from Simon Says Stamp and one old Stampin Up stamp. I started with a base of Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper.  I brushed the background through the new SSS Autumn Splendor stencil with Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron and Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment and pumpkins are from the new SSS Pumpkin Spice Season stamp set, embossed in SU gold on Mint Macaron card stock.  The pumpkins are colored with Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker.  Last, the coffee cup is from retired SU stamp set Merry Cafe.   This card is being entered into: Hand Stamped Sentiments , Festive Friday Challenge (leaves, gold, green, brown), the Watercooler Challenge , and Sunday Stamps.
