Polar Bear for Fusion

Image
This card is for the Fusion Challenge.   On Whisper White heavy weight card stock, I stamped the classic Stampin' Up Bearing Gifts stamp in Versamark Black and embossed with clear.  I water colored the image with Karin brushmarker pro Red, Ocean Teal, Gold, Sienna, and Neutral Grey.  I added the Real Red card stock and patterned paper from SU Berry Bouquet DSP.  The ribbon is Real Red Stitched Satin.     This is for the Fusion Challenge This was also supposed to be for the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown , but I missed the cutoff.   I have mapped these colors that most closely resemble Stampin' Up colors (or rather, I mapped what SU color most closely resembles the Karin ink colors (see below) - It helps that I have all SU colors to work with).   Thanks for visiting! Jean

Pink and Brown for an Anniversary

Image
Today's card was created for my in-laws 51st anniversary next week.   I stamped Stampin' Up Very Vintage on Whisper White card stock in Blushing Bride.  I watercolored the image with Powder Pink and Crumb Cake ink and color washed the background with Crumb Cake.  I cut a circle in the heavy Whisper White card base and a slightly larger circle around the image and popped it up from behind.  I added a Crumb Cake frame around the circle.  The sentiment is from SU Beautiful Friendship and is embossed in Early Espresso powder.  The long-retired lace trim is Sahara Sand.  Lastly I watered down some Champagne Mist All-Purpose ink to splatter for a little shimmer. This is for the Freshly Made Sketches and The Flower Challenge . Have a wonderful week! Jean

Repost and two new fall cards

Image
So, I posted a card late last week and completely forgot to put it in the challenges listed. And then I saw comments on it after I reposted. So... Here it is again, followed by a couple new ones.  The base is Stratmore Bristol watercolor paper.  The flowers are from Altenew Flower Garden stamped in Versamark and embossed with Smokey Slate embossing powder.  They were water colored with Stampin Up Misty Moonlight, Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Smokey Slate Classic inks. The sentiment is from Altenew Beautiful day, also embossed with Smokey Slate embossing powder. This is being entered into Global Design Project and Clean and Simple  Colors and Sketches challenges. (well, it would have been IF I had been paying attention.  Ug)

Fall is in the air

Image
September is here and Texas has cooled to fall temperatures in a hurry.  55 yesterday!  Time to play outside until it heats up again, as it always does. The first card uses some new fall items from Simon Says Stamp and one old Stampin Up stamp. I started with a base of Strathmore Bristol watercolor paper.  I brushed the background through the new SSS Autumn Splendor stencil with Stampin' Up Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron and Chocolate Chip.  The sentiment and pumpkins are from the new SSS Pumpkin Spice Season stamp set, embossed in SU gold on Mint Macaron card stock.  The pumpkins are colored with Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends and Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write marker.  Last, the coffee cup is from retired SU stamp set Merry Cafe.   This card is being entered into: Hand Stamped Sentiments , Festive Friday Challenge (leaves, gold, green, brown), the Watercooler Challenge , and Sunday Stamps.

Two color challenges to start Septembe

Image
I have two cards to share today. My first card is for CAS Colours and Sketches Challenge and AAA CAS Challenge . I stamped the new Altenew Calla Lily Paint-a-Flower stamp in Versamark Clear on Bristol Stratmore watercolor paper and embossed in white.  I watercolored with Stampin Up Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Grey Granite classic inks and, once dry, used glossy clear Wink of Stella on the flowers.  The sentiments is also from the Calla Lily set and was stamped on Mossy Meadow card stock.
