40 Years

Last weekend my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.  It was a wonderful weekend, but certainly not your normal celebration.  I traveled to Austin for the weekend and went to my grandmother's memorial service, then had a family reunion with all-but-one cousin's present (10 in total) plus my dad and his four siblings.  There were tears, but much much more laughter - just what reunions should  be.

I made this card for my parents anniversary on Sunday:

The base is Baja Breeze with a layer of whisper white sponged with Basic Grey Classic ink.  I used a bit of Little Yellow Bicycle Bella Breeze paper (loved that line, sh!) and some Kiwi kiss paper with the scallop border punch.  The ledger and bird are from the Notably Ornate stamp set.  The ledger is stamped in Basic Grey on Whisper White card stock.  I sponged it with Kiwi Kiss and Baja Breeze Classic ink.  The bird is stamped in Baja Breeze on Baja Breeze card stock.  The tags are from the Tiny Tags stamp set and punched with the jewelery tag punch and attached with a safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets set.  Flowers are from Making Memories and Prima.

I loved the color combo - I really should use it more often!  Enjoy!
